All participants will receive a full fellowship covering tuition. Housing will be provided as needed with participants placed with host families in private residences and/or in university residences. The Fellowship does not cover travel costs to or within Toronto.
Toronto Summer Music Academy Fellows coming from outside Toronto are offered accommodation as part of the TSM Fellowship program. Fellows will be accommodated in private residences close to the University of Toronto campus, or university residences. If you require accommodation, be sure to indicate this on your application form.
Rehearsals, workshops and coaching sessions take place at the Edward Johnson Building, home of the Faculty of Music, University of Toronto.
Practice rooms for individuals and ensembles and several rehearsal spaces with pianos are available to Toronto Summer Music Academy Fellows.
The Faculty’s music library, housing one of the largest major research music collections in North America, is available to all TSM Fellows.
During the two-or-four-week program, TSM Fellows will be immersed in an “education through performance” environment in the heart of downtown Toronto. Coaching sessions, rehearsals and performances will be at the heart of your TSM experience.
Free access to all Festival concerts is included with the Fellowships. Fellows are invited to welcome receptions to meet Academy Resident Artists and other Fellows at the start of the program.
As TSM is situated in downtown Toronto, major visitor destinations are within walking distance.
