As part of a special celebrating the “New World” and cross-cultural collaboration, YOA Orchestra of the Americas in partnership with Orchestre de la Francophonie presents a concert led by Mexican conductor Carlos Miguel Prieto, featuring Chavez’s Sinfonía India, Dvorak’s New World Symphony, and Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G Major performed by Argentinian pianist Ingrid Fliter, winner of the 2006 Gilmore Artist Award.
Led by Artistic Advisor Plácido Domingo, YOA Orchestra of the Americas is a world-class symphony orchestra of gifted young musicians, ages 18 to 30, representing 25 countries in the Western Hemisphere. YOA brings together energetic, talented musicians to pursue excellence and celebrate cultural diversity as a catalyst for social change.
Orchestre de la Francophonie prepares young musicians, who have graduated from the world’s foremost institutions, for their future career in orchestras of national and international reputation.  Three objectives are central to the Orchestra: learn, innovate, and share.

Presented in partnership with TORONTO 2015 Pan Am / Parapan Am Games arts and culture festival, PANAMANIA presented by CIBC.
