Music & Painting: Gryphon Trio &
James Campbell Thursday, August 12 at 8:00pm, MacMillan Theatre

Gryphon Trio James Campbell, clarinet
The fabulous Gryphon Trio’s four previous TSM Festival concerts were sold-out events. This one is not to be missed, either!
The trio begins with a gorgeous work by Robert Schumann, and then end the program and the Festival with the dream-like landscapes and apocalyptic visions of Olivier Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time - arguably one of the greatest works of the 20th century.
As they play, paintings by artist Stephen Hutchings, which were inspired by this music and which address such issues as temporality and eternity, will be projected above them.
