INSIGHT INTO THE MUSIC THROUGH
WRITINGS BY AND ABOUT THE COMPOSERS

 

WHAT:

Toronto Summer Music Festival is a four week festival that features over 60 internationally acclaimed artists performing in over 30 events, such as, concerts, workshops and lectures.  This summer the festival will include a new series called, Music and Letters.  The series will give insight into the music through a reading of writings by and about the composers.  Every Tuesday audiences will be able to hear rapturous music paired with engaging documentation of history’s greatest composers.

WHO:

Canadian and international artists such as, pianist Anton Kuerti, the St. Lawrence String Quartet with Shauna Rolston, vocal performer Lorna MacDonald with pianist Cameron Stowe and clarinetist Peter Stoll and Juno-Award winning Gryphon Trio.
